  • If the error occurs as a blue screen death in the startup, just close the computer by pressing the power button for some time.
  • Then continuously power ON and OFF untill windows showing a different recovery option than the normal one.
  • After you get the recovery options in windows 8 or 10 then open “Command Prompt” by navigating to Troubleshoot > Advanced Options.
  • Then type following command on command prompt.

sfc /scannow /offbootdir=c:\ /offwindir=c:\windows

  • Now it will find the errors. Then type following code to fix them.

bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy

  • Now reboot the computer bu closing the command prompt.

Second Method

  1. In this method we are going to discuss how to get safe mode and how to uninstall the graphic card driver.
  2. First insert a windows bootable disk into the CD/DVD drive and restart.
  3. Click on the “Next” button in the windows setup box.
  4. Click on ” Repair your computer” in the page opened.
  5. Click on “Troubleshoot” on Choose an option screen.
  6. Click on “Advanced options” on troubleshoot page.
  7. Click on “Command Prompt” in Advanced options page.
  8. Type “C:” on the command prompt opened and hit enter.
  9. To enable legacy advanced boot menu type BCDEDIT /SET {DEFAULT} BOOTMENUPOLICY LEGACY  and press enter button.
  10. After this process completed type EXIT to close the command prompt.
  11. Then again go back to Choose an option and click continue to restart the PC.
  12. When the computer restarts continuously click F8 button to get Advanced Boot Options screen.
  13. Select Safe Mode on the Advanced boot options screen screen and press enter.
  14. Now computer will opens in safe mode.
  15. Now open “Control Panel” of your computer and open Device Manager.
  16. Click on Display adapters category to extend it.
  17. Then right click on graphics driver that needs uninstall.
  18. Click on Uninstall and complete the uninstalling process by confirming it.
  19. After you finish the uninstall process successfully, restart the computer. Now you will not geting the System Thread Exception Not Handled error.
